WHAT IS SERTOMA?
S E R T O M A is an international service organization of business, professional and civic-minded persons dedicated to the betterment of the human community, locally, nationally and abroad. Sertoma is a terrific way to connect with your community. The three syllables (Ser-to-ma) are an acronym for SERvice TO MAnkind.
Headquartered and founded in Kansas City, Mo. in 1912, Sertoma is a 501(c)4 not-for-profit international organization dedicated to “SERvice TO MAnkind,” with 20,000 members in over 700 clubs across Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the United States. Every year Sertoma Clubs raise more than $20 million for local community service projects. Through these projects, as well as grants and scholarships, Sertoma clubs return those funds to their respective communities.
